Saved from the pit of hell:
I
saw my life flashed in front of me for 5 minutes and I thought, so this
is how it feels to be helpless and confused. One minute , I was
standing on solid ground, the next minute I was on air, as the concrete
caved way beneath my feet.
For 5 minutes, I shouted and
screamed for help,no one heard my cry and the ground was still sinking ,
I had to claw my way out before the whole structure could collapse. I
had been standing on an abandoned Soakaway pit.
Thank God there
were no rains , Bless God he is still faithful, when it seems no one
heard. Only he could have done this. He is still a miracle working God.

Hermes gold bag worth $65,000 (N25,350,000) on her trip to the US, the
wife of Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Ho Ching, is being
praised for carrying a $11 (N3,500) purse during a recent official visit
to the White House with her husband.
Ho was seen clutching the dinosaur-motif purse, while she and Lee were
welcomed by US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, at the
White House lawn.
The blue-coloured purse was designed by
19-year-old Sheetoh Sheng Jie – a student of Pathlight School for
autistic children, The Straits Times reported.
Ho, who is also
the patron of the Autism Association Singapore, reportedly bought the
purse at a concert last Saturday to raise funds for autism support
services.
The
school typically sells 200 pouches in four months, but sold 200 within a
day after images of Ms Ho were shared widely, the school told the BBC.

"This attitude of Abusing our Fathers and grandfathers when they say
something that the younger generation doesn't agree with is worrisome. I
mean we can respectfully and constructively disagree,or Waka pass sef.
But because social media has given everyone a voice,that voice is now
used to insult our elders. It is very wrong.
I've seen comments
insulting Baba, insulting his intelligence, his calling,his dress
sense,insulting everything "insultable"-all because he gave his opinion
about what young men and women should look out for in the opposite sex
when considering marriage. If you don't agree with it, shebi u waka pass
and do the one you feel is right for you?
I fear for our
generation...a generation that has no respect for elders,a generation
that sees nothing wrong in insulting elders. They are all over social
media- twitter especially, is their playground.
Culturally,it is
wrong. Morally, it is Wrong. I'm a Christian,and so I subscribe to the
tenets of the bible,which is Gods word to me. And in the bible,respect
for parents/ elders are emphasised. I'm also sure people from other
religions have their own books that highlight/talk about respect for
elders.
Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Don't abuse
your freedom of speech. And this new way of life of young'uns insulting
elders? I fear. Because, there will be consequences."

Joseph Onywera Sh20 Million jackpot after his wife left him because he was poor
A man whose wife abandoned him and swore never to step foot into his
house again because he was poor has won millions in sports betting and
now the wife is begging to come back.
A man has won Sh20
Million jackpot (N63m) after his wife abandoned him because he was very
poor. Now, the wife who is believed to be married to another man is
begging to come back to him.
According to The Nation, Joseph
Onywera, 62, a farmer in Kapiyo in Kano, Kisumu County, won the colossal
amount in early June from Betway Company after he correctly predicted
the outcome of 13 football matches in the English Premier League.
The man who is addicted to gambling has refused to take back his wife
who ran away with another man after telling him to his face that she can
never come back unless he died because of his poor background and money
issues.
But hardly a month after he hit the jackpot, she came back knocking.
“I saw her come into my compound and I wondered. She had told me to my
face that she would only return after I die. So I told her to go away
since I am still alive,” said Mr Onywera.
Speaking further on
the incident, the Arsenal and Gor Mahia fan believes the woman, who is
said to be married to a Tanzanian in Isebania, must have come back just
because fortune had knocked at his door.
“Ever since she left,
several incidents have happened that would attract her attention. My
mother died but she did not turn up for her burial. My father also died
and I had an accident, but she did not bother to check on us,” said the
composed gambler.
But, he has revealed he has no plans for her
as he is looking forward to marrying another woman, who, he said, stuck
with him during his days of hardship.
“I am a humble rice and
tomato farmer. A certain woman who respected and loved me when all I
had was farming will be the one to live with me in this permanent
house,” he said with a tone of finality.
He has started work on a three-bedroom house as he tries to put his money into good use.
There is total transformation, almost overnight, for a man who could
not have imagined he would one day afford a car. Mr Onywere is not only
the latest millionaire in the vicinity but practically a “private
developer” as some of his village mates call him, The Nation reports.
He has bought two plots and is planning to develop an old one in the heart of the lakeside town of Kisumu.
He has also ordered a pickup truck and a canter lorry which will help
him deliver farm produce to the market as well as run other businesses
on the side. He said friends and relatives who had long forgotten about
him in his simple life have returned.
A number of people
queued up in his house with all sorts of pleas, ranging from requests
for school fees to calls for him to give to a church construction
project.
“I am a good man. I have helped in several
constructions in the church and assisted a number of my relatives and
friends to build good houses and pay fees for their children,” he said.
The father of nine, who dropped out of school in Standard Three in
1967, did not jump for said he is using his head and expressed joy where
gambling has taken him today.
“This is not the first price
that would make my heart stop with joy. I started gambling over 15 years
ago and although the amounts were not as huge as this, I have gotten
over the excitement,” he said.
Onywera is the latest and proud millionaire in his community and everyone now respects him.
Luigi Marquez was swallowed up by a whale
A man has miraculously survived three days inside the belly of a whale
after he went missing at sea and was thought to have drowned.
The Spanish fisherman identified as Luigi Marquez, was initially
believed to have drowned at sea but he miraculously reappeared several
days later after he went overboard during a violent storm off the coast
of Spain last week.
According to World News Daily Report,
the 56-year-old fisherman was lost at sea and believed to be dead after
Spanish coastal guards found no living sign of him after days of
research.
“This is truly a miracle! Saint Mary of Jesus has
heard our prayers” his wife, Penelope Marquez, told local reporters. “I
prayed and I prayed and I never lost faith, and the Lord has brought me
back my precious Luigi”
Although the man’s survival
story is already spectacular enough, the fisherman claims he was
swallowed by a whale in which he stayed for three days and three nights,
reminiscent of the story of Jonah in the bible.
“This great
beast swallowed me the morning after the storm,” he told local
reporters. “It is the most frightening thing I have ever lived.
Everything was pitch black and I was shivering cold.
“The only
thing that kept me alive where the raw fish I ate and the light from my
waterproof watch, that is how I kept in touch with time. And the smell,
I will never forget that horrible stench of putrid decomposition. I had
to wash for three days before the odor went away.”

The man says he was “flushed away” nearly 72 hours after being swallowed up by the beast.
“It is not the first time in human history that such stories arise”
explains marine biologist Juan Cristobal Miguel, at the University of
San Petrina. “Only last year, two scuba divers off the coast of Portugal
lived the same story after being accidentally swallowed by a blue
whale. Fortunately, they were immediately expelled of the giant mammal’s
body.
“It is surely extraordinary that this man survived in
the belly of a blue whale for so long, he is obviously a very sturdy man
and extremely lucky,”
The blue whale, which is the largest
animal ever known to have lived, feeds almost exclusively on krill and
can eat up to 40 million krill in a day. Although their sheer size is
impressive, they are of no threat to human beings, admit experts.
